$400.00

July 25th - 26th 2024

Limited to 12 Students

Do you have a slate roof on your home, but you’ve been told that slating is a “lost art” and “nobody uses slate anymore”? Well did you know that slate may be the best, longest-lasting, easily maintained roof money can buy? This workshop will follow a lecture/lab format to explore the history and origins of slate, the tools and techniques for assessing and repairing existing roofs, and the installation of new slate roofs. Participants will have hands-on practice laying out and installing slates, as well as making repairs to a ground-level mockup.
